Transforming Your Life with Chrissy's Place of Refuge
How often do our life experiences become our power tool for change with others? Well, that’s exactly what has transpired with Cassetta “Chrissy” Scott throughout the years! Through life experiences, motivation, and drive, Chrissy has become that power change for the community! As a mother of 3, she battled the tides and currents of life trying to achieve success! With the help of family and a determined mindset, she was able to overcome the obstacles that so many battle and often fail against. She was able to change her economic and financial status for herself and her children and accomplish her goal to become a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Therapist with State and National Certifications.
Using both the personal and professional experiences of Chrissy, she continues to work to create the same opportunities for individuals within the community that her family gave that ensured her success. Fast-forward to 2024, the CEO/Founder of Chrissy’s Place of Refuge, sees that the tides and currents have resurfaced again! She is very aware of the work that is needed to bring about the same change for the underserved families in the community, as well as the middle-to-high income families that seek financial relief. In September 2021, she was granted the opportunity through the IRS to present Chrissy’s Place of Refuge as a 501C3 Federal Exempt Organization. Since then, Chrissy and the Board have worked diligently implementing several programs to help and give back to the community.
Our current major focus is raising capital to centralize the needed resources for families seeking change. With the help of the community and support of those around the world, we will become a catalyst for change.
We’re seeking sponsors and donors to assist with centralizing resources provided by North Carolina, coupled with education and correct use of funds so that economic and financial freedom is equal and obtainable. Do know and trust that Cassetta “Chrissy” Scott will use the same methodology that helped her to become successful and offer the environment structure needed for financial relief that so many families have asked for. Two Major Components of Chrissy's Place of Refuge!
* Helping low-income families transition off Government assistance; Assisting with self-sufficiency (Housing, financial literacy, mental health counseling, child-care, career development/degrees, etc.
* Helping Middle to High Income families experience financial Relief by decreasing the number of individuals on government assistance. The individuals that we assist, following graduation from the program, will become tax paying citizens rather than a beneficiary of government assistance.
